Workshops and Clinics

Tim will help you develop the kind of trust and respect that will positively impact everything you do with your horse.

You will learn to create a language with which to communicate with your horse and teach your horse on the ground the communication you want him to understand when you are on his back. Each workshop focuses on specific skills to better prepare you and your horse.
We strive to tailor each Workshop, Clinic and lesson to the individuals attending each day so you can get the answers to YOUR questions.

We appreciate that you want to learn everything you can to be better with your horses. We believe that when it comes to horses it is not so much about what you do or how you do it but what you know about what you do, that causes what you do to work with your horse. Techniques and skills help you put what you know into practice.

WORKSHOPS

Workshops focus on your knowledge and provide you with lots of information and ideas to take home and practice.

• Usually from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm
• Do not bring your horse
• Plenty of handouts for you to take home and refer back to
• Lots of opportunity for questions

CLINICS

Clinics are about improving you and your horse's skills. Longer clinics give you more opportunity to practice and acheive results while working with your own horse.

• Check in starts at 8:30 am.
• Clinics start at 9:00 am sharp and go until 4:00 pm.
• Bring a horse.
• Bring your notebooks, a pen and a lawn chair to sit on. (though you will be with your horses for the clinic you will want a seat for lunches and breaks)
• Bring a lunch with you as there may not always be food on site for purchase or local restaurants close by
• Clinics are for students age 15+
• Please wear appropriate footwear and clothing
• Sorry we cannot allow any dogs or stallions
• Stabling is often available. Please check for each Clinic.

"Tim,I have to refer to  you as Tim Terrific because you were totally terrific during the 3 day trail riding clinic.  Not only do you have a plethora of information to share, you do it in a most entertaining fashion that made it fun and memorable.

I was impressed right from the start of the clinic to discover that you are a genuine listener, and if someone  did something that worked for them you had no desire to insist they change and do it your way.   Your method of teaching is brilliant – repeat – repeat and repeat as many times as needed and your Timizms will stick with us forever.

You gave 150%, tirelessly and  encouraged  participants to be persistent in asking questions.  Whenever anyone struggled or was insecure with their efforts,  you were right there,  behind  them and their horse  helping  them  get  past the hump. No horse or participant was forced into anything they were uncomfortable with yet you  built their confidence and encouraged and challenged them to reach for newer heights and they did.  You supported and encouraged us all to experience new methods at every turn and showed us they way, over and over.  You made everyone feel their needs to be the most important ones of the clinic.

 It soon became evident that your passion for horses is equalled with your passion for teaching and ensuring all was not only understood, but doable.

As the host of the clinic I felt supported at every turn and in every situation. Emails were answered immediately and you constantly expressed your appreciation for everything that I did.  You made the right thing easy and comfortable.

Sarah, your assistant, a sweet, delightful young woman , also assisted in any way that she could.
